Mullins: "Gov. McDonnell Has Truly Laid Out a Vision for a Commonwealth of Opportunity"

RPV Chairman Pat Mullins gave the following statement following Governor McDonnell's State of the Commonwealth Address:

"Once again Governor McDonnell has laid out a clear, common-sense vision for the Commonwealth. The ideas the Governor laid out in his speech tonight will, when enacted into law, improve the eduction of our children, correct some of our most longstanding transportation problems, and make the future brighter.  

There's a reason Bob McDonnell is one of the most popular governors in the country, and tonight's address is a perfect example: common-sense, conservative policies have turned deficits into surpluses, lowered unemployment rates, and helped Virginia weather one of the worst economic storms in our country's history. 

From education to voting rights restoration, economic preparedness to environmental protection, Governor McDonnell has truly laid out a vision for a Commonwealth of Opportunity, and I look forward to working with both him and our General Assembly to make it happen."
