Chairman Mullins: President Obama and Senator Warner Owe Virginians the Truth about the Affordable Care Act
RPV Chairman Pat Mullins issued the following statement:
"President Obama's proposed 'fix' for his broken 'If you like your plan, you can keep it,' promise is too little, too late. After lying to the American people time after time, he's trying once again to patch this badly leaking boat, but the insurance industry is already warning that this could actually make the situation worse."
"President Obama and Congressional Democrats like Senator Mark Warner rammed this law through with no Republican support. Instead of reaching across the aisle and listening to GOP concerns, they pushed on, even though they didn't read the bill."
"It's time for Senator Warner and President Obama to come clean, admit that they lied, and get behind the bipartisan effort to repeal this train wreck of a law before it hurts anyone else, and replace it with conservative, free-market based solutions that will actually make insurance more affordable."
"Virginians deserve to hear the truth from their elected leaders. Both the President and Senator Warner should admit that this law is broken beyond repair."
